Barbara Polston, NQA Grant CoordinatorBarbara Polston has recently been named the Grant Program Coordinator. Professionally, Barbara is a fundraising consultant to the nonprofit industry, specializing her practice in grant fundraising. In addition, she is a nationally recognized trainer of various aspects in grant fundraising, including proposal writing, evaluation design and program budget construction. As part of her commitment to the grant fundraising process, Barbara has served as a grants reviewer for the Arizona Community Foundation, City of Phoenix Arts Commission and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. As a board member of the Arizona Quilters Guild, Barbara developed and administered a mini-grant program to support community service projects of Guild chapters around the state.

Barbara’s own quiltmaking is changing by the minute. She enjoys making traditional patterns with a twist and is dabbling in the area of art studio quilts. Her current passion is beaded embellishment of quilt surfaces. Barbara has displayed her work in a number of shows, enjoys and learns from feedback from judges, and has won several ribbons. Barbara lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her oldest daughter, a budding filmmaker, and two adorable, loving cats.
