Connie Davidson,
President

Connie Davidson, NQA PresidentWhen you come from a family as large as mine, people sometimes forget your name. Most people say, "Oh, you're one of the sisters". But you can just call me Connie. I'm from a creative family of 12 where organization was key. Our home was filled with love, chaos, fun and casseroles. I'm a Virgo so it's not my fault I'm organized. I have been sewing since I could crank the wheel on that tiny machine I had.

I started out sewing clothes and doing crafts and probably still have a shoebox filled with popsicle sticks and pot holder loops . One of my "sisters" signed me up for a quilting class and the rest is history. There was no turning back. Now I've decided I can't use 50 quilts as I have moved south but I could wear 50 jackets or vests so I have changed my focus to smaller and lighter.

I collect any fabric as long as it feels good in my hand and has pink in it and I think I have every notion made. A true 'gadget girl".

My only tip is to be accurate from the first cut or the first stitch as mistakes multiply exponentially. With all this in mind, I hope I will lead you with wisdom and humor but I'll keep my seam ripper in my pocket.
