NQA Leadership

Kathy Lichtendahl was born and raised on Prince Edward Island, Canada where she learned to sew at an early age, taught by her seamstress mother. Kathy worked on her first quilt at age ten and began designing and constructing her own quilted pieces soon after.

Kathy attended the University of Prince Edward Island for her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and then went on to the University of South Carolina to earn her Master of International Business Studies. She worked as a marketing executive for several Cincinnati based companies before retiring in the mid-nineties at which point she rediscovered her love of fabric and quilting.

Kathy is currently a quilt designer, teacher and an NQA certified quilt judge. She and her husband now live on a remote ranch in the Beartooth Mountains of Wyoming where they also enjoy raising pack llamas, back-packing and skiing the nearby mountains.
