Barbara Polston, Editor, Quilting Quarterly

Barbara Polston, Editor, Quilting Quarterly

Barbara Polston is a writer by vocation and a quilter by avocation. Before becoming the Editor of The Quilting Quarterly, Barbara was a Contributing Editor for American Quilter, the magazine of the American Quilters Society. She is a columnist writing about life lessons learned from quilting for The Country Register family of newspapers. As the founder and president of the Arizona Quilters Hall of Fame, Barbara hopes this nonprofit organization, along with her quilts, will be part of her lasting legacy. The proceeds of her first quilt pattern, recently published, benefit Arizona Quilters Hall of Fame. Much of her current work incorporates painted elements and she teaches her painting techniques. Barbara enjoys showing her quilts and is absolutely thrilled to find entries graced with a ribbon recognition, which has happened on occasion. She has served on the Boards of Directors for several quilting organizations, including the Arizona Quilters Guild and The National Quilting Association. See more of Barbara's work or explore her class offerings on her web site, www.barbarapolston.com.
