"Baptismal Font Backdrop"

Improvised design using a variation of log cabin piecing (not foundation piecing) and machine quilting. The intent was to use the log cabin piecing technique developed into an image of waves with a color scheme meant to convey a windy sky with a hint of the Pentecostal flames of the Holy Spirit around the dove, water and earth.
