As a founding member of HGQC, I believe it's important to preserve traditional folklore while expressing ourselves and creating our story in cloth. Through quilting we reach back into our collective memories to honor our past and give hope to our future. Combining textiles from Africa and those here in America we create pieces that bond the ties we have with both continents. --Ife Felix
