Lemoyne Star Quilters
NQA Chapter #165
Lemoyne, Pennsylvania

Our group began in February of 1981, when seven women gathered together to form the Calico Cut-ups Quilt Club. In April of 1982, the group became a chapter of the National Quilting Association, changing their name to the Lemoyne Star Quilters. By 1994, the group had grown large enough that we needed a newsletter. In February of 1994 the first edition of the newsletter was published. The newsletter was called Lemoyne Star Limericks.

Our purpose is to create, stimulate, maintain and record an interest in all matters pertaining to making, collecting and preserving quilts and to establish and promote educational and philanthropic endeavors through quilts.

The Lemoyne Star Quilters meet on the first, third, (and fifth - if there is one), Thursday of each month, eleven months of the year. We get together only one time in December, for our annual holiday party. Meetings are held at the Grace United Methodist Church, 313 Herman Avenue, Lemoyne, PA. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM in the Scouts room, lower level.

After attending two (2) meetings of the Lemoyne Star Quilters, individuals must apply for membership. Our chapter has 35 member slots. If all of the slots are filled, your name will be placed on the waiting list. You will be contacted when there is an opening.

Would you like to exhibit your guild's quilts in the NQA Chapter Gallery?

The NQA Chapter Gallery will highlight an NQA Chapter on our website for a period of 6 weeks.

An NQA Chapter will provide NQA with 8-12 digital photos of quilts selected by the chapter, along with a brief description of each quilt. Each chapter will also provide The Chapter Gallery with a short history of their chapter, which may contain any interesting information that they wish to share about themselves.

NQA will furnish the time slot available for them as well as guidelines on the details required for each quilt photograph.

If your guild is an active NQA Chapter and is interested in appearing on The NQA Chapter Gallery, please contact the NQA office at PO Box 12190, Columbus, OH 43212-0190 or via email at nqaquilts@sbcglobal.net.
