The future bride selected "Fans and Flowers" by Sheri Lalk for her mother to make. The side borders were added to make it queen-sized. These are the first curved seams done by the maker, and there is much appliqué on the quilt.

Carol waited until she retired from software testing at IBM to begin quilting 5 years ago. She knew it would be time-consuming. But her family supports her efforts which often result in gifts for them. She takes her granddaughters to Style Fabrics where she enjoys watching them learn to sew.
